Outdoor faucet water leak source #1: Let’s take a look at my leaky outdoor faucet here. I definitely have a leak coming from the packing nut/bonnet nut area near the handle. It also looks like i have a leak within the hose fitting.
Note that i have an additional adapter on my hose fitting. If your faucet still leaks, the stem may be leaking and you should replace the faucet. If your faucet leaks out of the spout when it’s turned off, the washer is bad. Remove the handle and nut (photo 1) and pull the stem from the faucet (photo 2).
